On June 18, 2006 at the Austin Songwriters Group Austin Songwriters Group full production “Song Contest” awards ceremony, Jimi Lee was awarded “First Place” in the Blues category with his fabulous song “Laundromat”. That win follows the September 2005 competition where Jimi Lee was awarded 1st Place in "Blues" and 2nd Place in "Jazz" for his song "Where Are You Tonight?" and the June 2005 competition where Jimi Lee was awarded 1st Place in the Barebones competition for his song "I Want To Kiss You So Bad" in the "Pop" category.
